Poem for Dorothy Parker
by Elizabeth Jackson Doshi
Enough is not part
of my repertoire
Hunger fills this space
Its always draught and want
and need and please
that the plenty
in my case
If I had a check
for every emptied store
a credit for my dues
there'd be no grave
for all my joys
nor tomb
for happy news
