I have been fighting the tide. In an effort to keep Booty out of her "head" I have been encouraging more playing and creating (painting, drawing, building, cooking, cleaning, pretending...) and less reading. I have failed, miserably. And so, in the spirit of, "if you can't beat 'em join 'em " I have purchased some books that I feel are appropriate. At this time Booty's favorite books are:



"Bigmomma's" and "Shortcuts" by Donald Crews
These are two seperate stories but they take place at the same time in the author's life and are wonderfully illustrated.

Oh. By the way. The reason I do not use Booty's given name (or anyone's full name for that matter) in this blog is for privacy reasons as this is a public blog. We have already discovered how scary it can be to be recognized on the street by strangers so thanks for not posting our names.
