Saw the movies Munich and Hamlet(2000) last week.
I was very taken with Munich but felt a bit overwhelmed by the lack of focus. The film is based on the book Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by Canadian journalist George Jonas, which in turn was based on the story of Yuval Aviv, who claims to have been a Mossad agent.It would have been very cool if Spielberg had taken a little more time with the "terroritsts" that were the targets. The performances however, were wonderful. Weird sex scene tho' after Eric Bana's character goes home. It was a bit confusing. He didn't witness the Munich Olympic killings and yet this seemed like a flashback. I liked the last scene. As if G.Rush's character is saying, "We may both be extremist Jews who would risk our lives for our country but you aren't fit to break bread with. Anyway it was just business. See ya!" Cold!

Hamlet(2000) was pretty poor. The acting left a lot to be wanting. Ethan Hawke's Hamlet was abysmal and the high tech angle did not work. Just bad.
